Higher Education Volunteer Network
R-VES (Rede de Voluntariado no Ensino Superior) is a portuguese volunteering organization composed by several Higher Education Institutions. It aims to train, articulate and enhance the activity of Higher Education Institutions on the research and valorisation of volunteering, in a multidisciplinary approach leading to the promotion of a culture and a practice of volunteering in the national context.

Visual representation of the letter “R”
From the beginning, it was clear, that
we were looking for an identity that
could be adapted to various supports
and could present what volunteering
is. It’s not just the good mood. It is
also this idea of connection between
people and the richness that these
projects bring, both individually and
as elements of a group.
We explored how to visually represent
these concepts and understood
that the word “Rede” (network in
Portuguese) was a strong word that
defined the organization and also,
somehow, its mission. Therefore, our
creative path simply went mostly
around the visual representation
of the letter “R” and how it could
translate the organization’s values.
